Dot Mandala Rock Painting
Paint a beautiful rock by applying dots in a mandala pattern, using acrylic paints and simple tools you already have on hand. This meditative painting process is both fun and therapeutic!
In this Zoom workshop, we will introduce you to tools, paints, and artists you can follow who offer tutorials on painting mandala projects. Then join us as we lead you through a simple mandala rock painting project. Come prepared with the below suggested materials, or just watch and talk with us as we show you this simple and satisfying painting technique.
Register to participate in this workshop here, and we will send you an invitation to join us on Zoom.
- Multi-surface acrylic paints in colors you like (for example: blues, pinks, purples, and white – you can blend colors to get new color variations).
- A large rock (approximately 4-5 inches in length and 3-4 inches in width, or whatever size you can find)
- Suggestion: give the rock a foundation of black paint in advance of the workshop, so you are ready to paint the mandala pattern in real time during the workshop.
- Q-tips, toothpicks, and a pencil with a top eraser, for applying dots.
